Description:	Preserves and provides public access to records of state and local governments, and held private records.
In Detail:	The arcvhives are searchable online, however there is no facility to view the contents. It does return descriptive and contextual information about the records held. The Archives have also established an index of resources specific to Genealogical purposes, and this index may be found at http://www.archives.tas.gov.au/genealres/.
